This month we would like to introduce some of our favorites!
These are a few of Bill's favorites:
Soutern Tier Unearthly
Is it sad that my go to beer is a Double IPA at 11% alcohol? NO!!!!! I love this beer. Have you ever wondered what candied apricots taste like? Try this beer to find out. The hops drive this beast but the malt spanks you with the candied apricot sweetness. To me, if you consider yourself a hophead, you better try this beer.
Pravda Polish Vodka
Pravda vodka encompasses the best of each element of production. The ingredients found in Bielsko-Biala are simply the finest in the world. The carpathian mountains produce the purest spring water. The wielskopolska fields of sweet, late harvest rye are untreated and natural, giving a softer, mellower taste. Pravda is made with a unique five step distillation process. There is no other vodka custom made with such passion and care. http://pravdavodka.com/pravda.htm
COOPERS CREAK MARLBOROUGH RIESLING
Not, in the mood for a sweet riesling during the summer months? Well try a dry rielsing. More specifically, try Coppers Creek Riesling. It is a great blend of lemony citrus and mineral notes to give it a crispness you can enjoy on a hot summer day.
These are a few of Nick's favorites:
Langmeil “Three Gardens” GSM
This wine, a blend of three grapes (Shiraz 48%, Grenache 42%, Mourvedre 10%) is the definition of balance and structure. You will taste full-bodied ripe fruits supported by noticeable, but very fine and elegant tannins. There are great cherry and deep blackberry notes and hints of cinnamon inside this intense black bottle and passionate label. This wine is made from grapes harvested from old vine Barossa vineyards and displays the qualities this area is known for.
This is a genuine Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and it bears a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Its light bronze color holds a pleasantly sweet taste of brown sugar, spice, oak and leather.
James Page Iron Range Amber
Is a great Midwestern red beer with a classic European style. From Stevens Point Brewery this beer shows a classic smooth and malty taste. There are hints of light caramel and dark toffee and finishes with a hint of pleasant Earthy bitterness.
These are a few of Luke's Favorites:
Rancho Zabaco Sonoma Heritage Zinfandel
“I like this wine as my main wintertime favorite” Bob then went on to say “well really anytime,” and the staff agrees, this is a great wine. The Heritage Zinfandel has a nice balance of boysenberry and blackberry fruit flavors and there is also a hint of pepper. The Heritage Zinfandel is great with stews, grilled meats, roast turkey with sage or any nicely spiced dish.
Glazebrook Sauvignon Blanc*
Bob has “gotten hooked” on this great white wine from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Glazebrook is vinted by the Ngatarawa (naa-taa-ra-wa) Winery in Hawke’s bay and definitely expresses the character of the area. It is wonderful with salads, light meats, Asian cuisine, and of course great by itself!
Robert Hill Winery
Originally from St. Paul, Robert Hall is one of the premier winemakers in the Paso Robles region. Whatever the varietals you choose whether a syrah, Meritage, or cabernet you will not be let down. These wines are extraordinarily crafted and are a great value.
*The Glazebrook Sauvignon Blanc is exclusively available at the Osseo Location. Osseo is home to hundreds of unique and extraordinary wines, including many special items not available at the Maple Grove Store.
